Since 2004, the LSU Communication across the Curriculum (CxC) team has been researching, exploring, testing, creating, and applying Communication-Intensive (C-I) pedagogy within undergraduate courses at all levels, from freshman to senior, spanning all disciplines—from STEM and the social sciences, to the arts and humanities, and everything in between. We are a multidisciplinary team comprised of teachers, researchers, scholars, and practitioners committed to continuously investigating the connections and interactions between deep content learning and critical communication skills development within college classrooms across the disciplines. We value evidence-based practices, good teaching, and meaningful student learning. Each semester, we experiment with C-I pedagogy in our own classrooms, while also collaborating with hundreds of other faculty at LSU and beyond who are applying C-I teaching and learning across the disciplines.
